A Miniature Library for Cobble Hill Park

Two local artists are trying to build a miniature library branch in the park, where kids could take and leave books, on the honor system.

Two Brooklyn artists are planning a miniature library in Cobble Hill Park this spring, that would provide 100 books for children to borrow on the honor system, says the Daily News.

The article says that the "The Hundred Story House” is the brainchild of Julia Marchesi, of Cobble Hill, and Leon Reid IV, of Bed-Stuy, and the six-foot-high structure will be modeled after a Brooklyn brownstone, with the windows and doors opening to reveal small shelves of books.

"This neighborhood – and Brooklyn in general – is filled with writers and people who appreciate literature in any form," Marchesi told the News.
