Listen to some of the borough's funniest people at BackFat, a comedic variety show held at 61 Local. (Tagline: "Come for the comic chops, stay for the offal puns.") Ever found yourself picking up the beads from yet another broken bracelet, wondering why you keep forking over cash for shoddily crafted jewelry? Make your own instead. Brooklyn ARTery is holding Jewelry Making for Beginners from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Local jeweler Miriam Ariano will guide you through the basics, and by the end of the session, you'll have made your own pair of earrings. The Brooklyn Community Pride Center is hosting an information session for gay women interested in becoming moms through donor insemination. Attendees will get their questions answered by experienced and knowledgeable speakers from the American Fertility Association, and the evening will include a light dinner.
