5 Things: Join the Fight To Save LICH at Tonight's Fundraiser

1. Meet Snappy the Turtle.
 Bring the kiddies to meet Prospect Park's resident slowpoke, Snappy the Turtle. Children will also meet with staff to learn about the animals at the park. Prospect Park, enter at Lincoln Road and Ocean Avenue. 1-2 p.m. Free.

2. Have some fun in the sun. Commander Rican Vargas and the Coney Island Dancers are hosting free outdoor Coney Island Boardwalk parties all summer long. DJs will be spinning house, disco, soul, and funk, and the party begins at noon.

3. Help save LICH. Attend a fundraiser to pay for the legal challenge Long Island College Hospital is incurring, organized by The Concerned Physicians of LICH. The suggested minimum donation is $50 per person will be collected at the door, and 100 percent of all the proceeds will go to fight for the community. Food, Drink, Location and Entertainment are all included and donated by caring local residents. 320 Atlantic Ave. 6 p.m. For more information call 718-834-0100

4. Hear a heroic story. Spend the evening with female climber, Isabel Suppé, as she tells her story of surviving a 1,100 foot fall while climbing in the Bolivian Andes. Brooklyn Boulders, 575 Degraw St., 8 p.m. $20 Ticket price includes one free day pass with gear rental at Brooklyn Boulders! 25 percent of all proceeds will benefit the Brooklyn Boulders Foundation. Buy your ticket in advance or at the door.

5. Start your engines. Alternate side parking is in effect according to the DOT.
