Some stories are downright strange.

As a local news organization, Patch covers stories of all kinds, from heartbreaking tragedies to inspiring tales of community brotherhood. But some stories are just plain weird. Here are some of the stranger headlines from the past seven days.

Art? or High-Concept Barclays Junk?

There's a new addition at the Barclays Center entrance pavilion, and it is...something.

The piece, titled "Ona," made its debut at the Barclays Center last week, and already it has made an impression. Gawkers in front of the arena Tuesday morning were taking photos posing next to it and marveling at its majestic lumpiness.

The sculpture is the work of artist Ursula von Rydingsvard, the paper said, who put it together by chainsawing cedar slabs and putting them together, before casting the whole thing in bronze.
