Gunshots at Carroll Park Monday, as first reported on local blog Pardon Me For Asking, have caused concern in the community.

According to the report, two gunshots were heard at the park around 7:50 p.m. Monday. This, along with a report of a fight among kids in the park, has helped escalate some of the concerns.

In a neighborhood like Carroll Gardens, incidents like this are not expected. But living in a high-density area such as Brooklyn, these things do happen.

Now, almost a year later, the enormous barbecue restaurant has finally opened. It debuted on Thursday and was open through the weekend, according to its website. After closing for a few quick renovations through Sept. 18, it reopened Sept. 19 at 5 p.m.
