Smith Canteen Bakes Up Guilt-Free Cookies

The Carroll Gardens bake shop donates proceeds from one delicious disc to Carroll Park.

The thing about cookies is that they're considered an indulgence, not a necessity. So many people talk themselves out of eating one if there isn't something to attach the experience to.

But Carroll Gardens bake shop Smith Canteen satisfies one's sweet tooth and sense of guilt by selling the "Carroll Park" cookie: a celestial combination of oats, pecans, white chocolate, cranberries and chocolate cake crumbs, available for $3 each. Proceeds benefit Carroll Park.

Ah, sweet relief.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
