How about doing an article on the fact that many celebs were born in Brooklyn. Let's leave the celebity hawking along...and just be neighbors. How about doing something on Jimmy Iovini (American Idol and major recording and film executive) coming from a humble Italian background...boy from CG makes good. The celeb hawking is down right rude. CG should rise above this nonsense..Celebrate our success stories and leave the pizza lovin celebs some privacy.

A story on Jimmy Iovini would be great. My dad used to play baseball with him when he was a kid. I think he used to live on 2nd Place. Nice story about a true local making it big. But I understand why Patch hasn't done a story on him: the yuppies and hipsters don't want to hear about a gold old local boy, therefore no page views on that story. Instead, let's write more about bike lanes and how there are not enough vegan restaurants around here.

Great story idea, Anonymous. I will look into it! And the call for tips is certainly not meant for solely celebrity-focused stories. That was just for humor. It can be anything from breaking news to a schoolbook fundraiser to an unusual fact about a landmarked building that people are unaware of. Some of the best and most popular stories this year have come from readers e-mailing me with a tip. Any leads are HUGELY appreciated. Anthony, as a prolific commenter, I'm sure you're aware we cover a lot more than bike lanes and vegan restaurants.
