Rev. Herbert Daughtry To Undergo Spinal Surgery

Rev. Herbert Daughtry of  Pentecostal Church in Boerum Hill was due to undergo spinal surgery on Monday after a postponement from Friday, June 22, the church confirmed.

The Reverend's family declined to share further details as to which hospital was performing the surgery, which will take a minimum of four hours. 

A representative of the congregation did ask, however, that "everyone please keep him in your prayers." 

The fiery and beloved pastor of The House of the Lord Church and founder of the has been a key figure in the , expressing public support of the project and Forest City Ratner. He also coordinated a rally in Jersey City this March in solidarity with Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Florida boy shot and killed Feb. 26 by George Zimmerman.
