Rescue Kitties 'Itsy, Bitsy and Mitzy' Need a Home

Looking to adopt a pet in Carroll Gardens? These three kittens are cute as a button.

Welcome to [belated] Friday Feline, a recurring column in which we spotlight a local rescue in need of a home. If you're looking for a low-maintenance animal that has already received most of its immunizations and tests, this is the place for you.

This week's subjects are: Itsy, Bitsy and Mitzy

"Itsy, Bitsy and Mitzy were all rescued from a feral mom in Queens," said said C. Corey,  who rescues felines and coordinates adoptions in Carroll Gardens. "If we hadn't taken them in, they would have been doomed to live outside and probably wouldn't have lived for very long."

Each of the kittens has tested neg for fiv/leuk, is neutered or spayed and all are ready for their new home.

"Itsy [with a stripe down his nose] is the most outgoing," said Corey. "He is very friendly and personable. Mitzy [the beautiful calico mix] is very sweet and a little more shy than Itsy, but loves petting and loves to take care of her sister Bitsy. Bitsy has big beautiful eyes that are totally entrancing. She loves to be held and pet but will run away until you remind her how much she likes it."

All three of the kittens are currently being fostered in a home with lots of children who will be playing and petting them daily, preparing them for their big moment when they are adopted.
