PHOTOS/VIDEO: Flooding in Red Hook

Van Brunt Street near Fairway was covered in water.

Red Hook is a Zone A evacuation area, and judging by the flooding and strong winds present Sunday afternoon, it was probably a good idea residents were ordered to leave.

By the bay, winds were so strong it was hard to walk at times. Imagine those winds during the eye of the storm!

Still, adventurous Brooklynites walked out along the piers, snapped photographs and even waded in the flood waters. Gotta love it!
