Photo of the Day: LICH Supporters Present Thousands of Petitions to DOH

While SUNY Downstate is still being held by a restraining order, activists intend to use the extra time to make their voices heard.

"LICH's NYSNA nurses, 1199 members, Concerned Physicians of LICH, and representatives from Sen. Daniel Squadron's office dropped off thousands of petitions to the Department of Health on Tuesday, March 12," wrote Registered Nurse Julie Semente in an e-mail to Carroll Gardens Patch that afternoon.

The above photo captures the undiluted energy behind the movement; the dropoff was the latest show of support in the groups' ongoing fight to keep the Cobble Hill hospital open for care.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
