Neighborhood Public House 61 Local Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

Join owners and staff in commemorating the second anniversary of this Boerum Hill community hub.

Cafe, bar, work space, event space, food co-op pickup, donation drop-off, installation gallery and bike tour starting point.

The Boerum Hill public house known as 61 Local has defied categorization since its opening two years ago, accumulating more hyphenates than Kanye West. On Feb. 23, the staff will celebrate their second anniversary serving the community in every way possible with a few friends they've made along the way—and they want you to join them.

Short screenings documenting collaborative projects between the folks at 61 Local and other artisan producers, including Brooklyn Soda Works, Cut Brooklyn and BK Farmyards will be shown.

Tickets for a knife raffle will be available.

Soda shandies and craft foods will be enjoyed.

Whether you want to party, learn about a local trade or meet new and interesting people, the door is open. Feel free to bring your own hyphenate with you.

Festivities will take place on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
