Millman Petitions To Restore B71 Bus

The Assemblywoman will be testifying at the MTA Board meeting next week to return South Brooklyn's B71 bus along Union Street.

Assemblywoman Joan Millman has launched a Change.org petition to bring back the B71 bus along Union Street.

, leaving residents of the Columbia Street Waterfront District, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus and Park Slope scrambling to make connections between neighborhoods—sometimes paying to ride in vans together.

As the MTA is expected to allocate tens of millions of dollars to additional bus, subway and commuter train service with their new budget, Millman believes it's time to strike while the pockets are deep.

"We need all the signatures we can get to prove how crucial this bus is for Brooklynites!" said Millman, who will appear at the MTA board meeting next week to appeal for restored service.

The link for the petition can be found here. The deadline for signatures is Tuesday, July 24.

Good god, she's been here forever! Just say no thanks and move on. She's harmless.
