Meet the Friday Night Pilgrims

A super club full of notable names, held every Friday night in Carroll Gardens.

Over the weekend, the Daily News profiled the secret weekly supper club attended by such New York notables as judges Mike Pesce and Miriam Cyrulnik, Office of Emergency Management commissioner Joe Bruno and Assemblywoman Joan Millman, held every Friday night in Carroll Gardens.

The Friday Night Pilgrims, as they have dubbed themselves, are a longtime friends who meet up in an old President St. brownstone apartment, to drink and enjoy anywhere from 15-20 dishes, ranging from “eggplant parfait to stuffed filet mignon” and always capped off with a freshly caught grilled fish.

“The chairs don’t all match and the silverware is all different, but everybody gets a seat,” Assemblywoman Millman told the Daily News of the supper club.

Over the summer, we reported on at the Ger-Nis Culinary Center, in Gowanus. A little fancier, with notable chefs helming each season’s menu, the dinners seat about 65 lucky patrons every few Sundays.
