Local Blogger Gets "Clean House" Reality Show Treatment

BococaLand co-founder Josh Robertson's apartment is the star of the show!

Last week we noticed the Style Network Reality TV Show "Clean House" . We wondered whose apartment was getting an "interior intervention."

And now for the big reveal: Josh Robertson, co-founder of the popular local blog BococaLand, and his family were chosen to be featured on the show.

"My wife and I are messy people. Really messy," wrote Robertson on the blog. "Messy enough, evidently, to beat out a number of other families in New York City for this show."

Robertson lives with his wife, Millicent Lindley, and their two sons in a small apartment. They were nominated and entered into the running of possible apartments in need of a cleaning by a couple of friends, and when they were chosen, wrote Robertson, he had second thoughts.

"I began to feel severe buyer’s remorse. Jesus, do we really want this? I want a cleaner house, but … well, if we really wanted a cleaner house, perhaps our house would already be cleaner," he wrote. "It’s not like we’re invalids or have some kind of mental disorder that prevents us from throwing out wire coathangers and other utterly useless items."

Robertson also mentioned feeling badly about the disruption on the street. Indeed, parking isn't allowed on their side of the street, there is a port-a-potty that of course smells, a generator spewing toxins and making noise and people milling around.

But this is NY, and film and television shoots happen all the time.

So in a spirit of neighborliness, we wish the best of luck to Robertson and family. We can't wait to see the "clean" house!
