Attend the Saturday night reception for new and current members

The Friends of Carroll Park have been working for more than 30 years to maintain and improve Brooklyn's third oldest public park. And they need your help to keep the park moving forward!

This Saturday from 6 - 8 p.m., the Friends are hosting a volunteer reception in the parkhouse for current, past and potential new members and would love for any one with an interest in working in the park to attend.

The Friends of Carroll Park help organize many events throughout the year at the park, including the annual Flea Market and the ever-popular Kids' Concerts series.

"It goes without saying that urban access to open space is absolutely essential to our physical and our mental health," said Friends President Bruce McDonald.

Volunteers can get involved in many ways, and the best way to find out how and to meet the current members is to attend the reception on Saturday!
