Jay-Z and Beyonce Skip Grammys To Dine at Lucali
The new parents were apparently more interested in pizza.
According to reports from various celebrity outlets including Us Magazine and food website Food Republic, power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce enjoyed dinner at one of their favorite Carroll Gardens haunts last night, , as opposed to sitting through the three-hour Grammy presentation held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
This, despite the fact that Jay-Z had been nominated at Sunday's 54th Annual Grammy Awards. In fact, he and collaborator Kanye West accepted the award for Best Rap Performance for "Otis" in abstentia.
The couple recently welcomed their first daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. But the one-month-old was apparently left at home, reported Us Magazine, adding "other patrons failed to notice them. They were sitting in front of the place closer to where they make the pizza.

"Beyonce made sure to bid goodbye to the eatery's owner and waitress as they departed. The fellow diner even congratulated Jay-Z on Blue Ivy's recent arrival."
This is not the first time Jay-Z and Beyonce have shown support for neighborhood restaurants. The couple was spotted as recently as New Year's having dinner at Buttermilk Channel.
