Where/When: Thursday, March 17 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Hannah Senesh Community Day School, 342 Smith St., Carroll Gardens

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum

Where/When: Thursday, March 17 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave., Crown Heights

Why Go: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. Kids can make their own shamrock and also hear the tale of St. Patrick. The evening ends with a live animal encounter with the museum's notable reptile collection. Be festive, dress in green!

Design a map at the Transit Museum

Where/When: Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Transit Museum, Boerum Place and Schermerhorn Street, Downtown Brooklyn

Why Go: Most city kids learn to read a subway map before they can read a book. Kids ages 4 and up are invited to create their own map at this family workshop.

Pricing: Free with admission, $6 adults/ $4 kids

 

Go to a Purim Carnival at

Where/When: Sunday, March 20 from 1:30 - 3 p.m. at Kane Street Synagogue, 236 Kane St., Cobble Hill

Why Go: Celebrate Purim at Kane Street’s annual carnival. With booths, games and prizes, it’s a great way to celebrate the Jewish Holiday.

Pricing: $20 per family

 

Go to a reading at Powerhouse Arena

Where/When: Sunday, March 20, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. at PowerHouse Arena, 37 Main St., Dumbo

Why Go: Author Lela Nargi reads from her new book The Honeybee Man. Kids will enjoy meeting a real beekeeper at the reading.
