Aching for the summer of '69? You're not alone. The founders of The Great GoogaMooga have a crush on that year too. Today a custom-detailed 1969 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport will be taking over the streets of New York City as part of a traveling GoogaMooga scavenger hunt in the run-up to .
Nicknamed the 'El CaVino,' the hot pink, purple and yellow hot wheels will be rolling to various locations throughout the city today offering those who spot it the opportunity to win last-minute tickets and other prizes.
Festival co-founder Jonathan Mayers told Patch he will be driving the wine-inspired Chevy around town himself.
According to the rules of the scavenger hunt, "Those who spot the car at any point today and post a pic of it to @GoogaMooga on Facebook or Twitter with the # ExtraMooga and the one thing they're most excited about from the Extra Mooga line-up, will be automatically entered to win a number of prizes."
What kind of prizes, you ask? Booty ranges from 2 Extra Mooga tickets for the VIP "" to gift cards for Seamless.com and the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, among others.
Hints for some of the afternoon locations were released as follows:
Clue: No knead to move past Hell’s Kitchen. El CaVino is rollin here.
Clue: El CaVino wants to know exactly how Extra Mooga-goers can ace a Shuck-Off.
Clue: El CaVino likes the union between Just Food and GoogaMooga so it’s learning its ABCs in farm-to-fork eating.
Clue: El CaVino has soul. Like jazz, like Malcolm X, like damn good food.
Clue: Across the bridge and as close to a 585-acre oasis as an El CaVino can get.
Clue: A day on the road inevitably creates a serious craving for live music and Brooklyn's best fried chicken.
Your guess is as good as ours. Good luck!
