When/ Where: Adams and Water streets, Under the Manhattan Bridge, DUMBO, Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Why Go: features vendors and arts and lots of music including an interactive Afro-Haitian drum and song performance by Bonga; the funky Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band; kiddie cabaret band The Itty Biddies; ukulele duo The Mini Max Players; rockers Rolie Polie Guacamole; and teen alternative-rock group Still Saffire.

When/ Where: Jalopy Theater, 315 Columbia St., Saturday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Why Go: To us, nothing screams Brooklyn quite like a mime troup. Get it? Screams? Mimes are silent? Anyway, head to everyone's favorite music hall, The Jalopy, for a night with the Brooklyn Mime Troop.

Cost: $10

 

When/ Where: The Salt Lot, Second Ave. and Fifth St., Gowanus, Sunday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Why Go: Head to the Salt Lot for a community mural painting project hosted by the Gowanus Canal Conservancy. Paint is being donated by Film Biz Recycling.

Cost: Free

 

When/ Where: Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St., Sunday from Noon - 5 p.m.

Why Go: The takes you all over the neighborhood!
