Why Go: Every Saturday night, the Brooklyn Lyceum hosts Gentrify Brooklyn Comedy, an evening showcasing some of the city’s most talented improvisers, stand-ups, and sketch comedians. This week features Jared Logan, Pangea 3000, Scordelis & Schell and Broad City.

Very little, if any, are given to the farmers we see at the Green Markets all around NYC. Mark Dunlea, Executive Director of Hunger Action Network NYS will discuss the ways residents can get Congress to change the bill.

Why Go: The Jalopy is one of the best places to see music in Brooklyn, with its down-home vibe and ramshackle appearance not to mention the guitars, fiddles and other stringed instruments lining the walls. Head there for a foot stomping night of roots music.
