Farewell, Dear Fieldbinder. Hello, Article&

Owners of a Carroll Gardens clothing boutique have given their store a complete makeover, from the merchandise being offered to the name on the door:

Dear Fieldbinder on Smith Street is no more. In its place, Article& has emerged.

"Article& is a website dedicated to you, the creative class," wrote owner Lara Fieldbinder in an e-mail to customers. "As we go digital, we will continue to stock your favorite brands and, as always, introduce new and exciting independent labels."

Fieldbinder and her partner Brent Steen told Racked.com that they intend to keep the store open as a showroom through July, but could not state what the brick and mortar future would hold beyond that. The duo explained the reason for the name change as being "easier to remember" and because it will allow them to grow and feature collaborations.
