The Practice of Parenting

Most contemporary Zen practitioners are lay people, and many are parents. And yet, their spiritual roots are in the monastic tradition of the individual adult leaving home in order to seek the way. What does this mean for parents? How can people bring this practice to life within their chosen lay/family path? What does the dharma have to teach about the intimate and subtle practice of raising children, and the strong emotions that often arise?
