Christ Church Construction and Traffic Detour Update
As the steeple and roof continue to undergo repairs, Cobble Hill residents can expect continued rerouting
Drivers in Cobble Hill can expect a new detour around Christ Church construction in the coming weeks.
during a flash thunderstorm in July, the steeple, roof and interior of Christ Church in Cobble Hill have been undergoing repairs. has caused portions of Clinton Street and Kane Street to be closed off and, as a result, "it’s resulted in aberrant traffic patterns," as noted at the Community Board 6 general meeting on Wednesday night.

As Clinton Street is expected to remain closed for another month, the Department of Buildings and the Department of Transportation have been asked to come up with a better detour as well as more signage to alert drivers of the closed roads. They are due to respond shortly.
