"Bored to Death" Films at BookCourt
The popular HBO comedy set in Brooklyn shoots at our local book store
Brooklyn is as much a character in Bored to Death as Jonathan Ames himself. Every episode of the show lovingly features a well-known Brooklyn locale. From Fort Greene Park to the Gowanus Canal to Tatiana in Brighton Beach, the locations are memorable and crucial to the story.
And so it should come as no surprise that the producers would choose to shoot at
Jonathan Ames, the creator and author, and Jason Schwartzman who plays Ames, both snuck into the store discreetly. We missed Ames, but managed to capture Schwartzman.

He said he was "cold," which made sense considering Brooklyn's temperature dropped more than 10 degrees between this morning and this afternoon.
