BoCoCa Rated Most Walkable Nabes in Brooklyn
Walk Score takes into account a neighborhood's amenities, and how close they are to each other, to rate "walkability."
Cobble Hill – followed very closely by Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens – was named the “most walkable” neighborhood, according to Walk Score, says L Magazine.
Walk Score rates a neighborhood based on the “amount and accessibility of amenities,” says L Magazine. With more things like restaurants, movie theaters and schools at a closer distance to each other, a neighborhood is given a higher “walkability score.”
Cobble Hill tied Brooklyn Heights with a score of 98, the highest in the borough, says the article. Boerum Hill scored a 97, and Carroll Gardens and nearby Gowanus tied with 96.
