5 Things To Do Today: Brooklyn Farmacy Reopens With New Ice Cream Flavors, and more...

Carroll Gardens-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need to get the kids out of the house. Foster an early love of reading by taking junior to the weekly at Carroll Gardens Library. 396 Clinton St. at Union St., 3:30 p.m., all ages, Free.

2. You need some new old-fashioned ice cream. Regardless of whether that groundhog sees its shadow or not, the folks at Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain will be reopening their doors today after being closed for vacation and maintenance a little over two weeks.
