Brooklyn Finalist in Bing Homepage Photo Contest

After weeks of collecting submissions for its Bing Hometown Homepage Contest, Microsoft has narrowed the competition down to the top ten photos that best capture America's beauty. Amongst the ten finalists is Anoop Balakrishnan Rema, a local photographer who captured an astounding, Brooklyn perspective of the Manhattan skyline, and is now on the verge of having his photo become the background of the new Bing Homepage.

Microsoft invites you to cast your vote for Anoop’s beautiful Manhattan skyline photo, or any other photo you deem worthy as the new Bing Homepage. Competition is stiff as the other finalists come from cities all across the country – from the beaches of Hawaii and Florida to the Chicago skyline.

Beginning today, you can vote for your favorite via the Bing Homepage Photo app on Facebook. The winning photo will appear on the Bing Homepage on October 1st and the talented photographer will win a variety of additional prizes, including a Nokia Lumia 1020, a CanvasPop print of the photo and a one year Awesome account membership, courtesy of 500px. In addition, the Bing team will make a special trip to the winning hometown to perform a day of service with The Nature Conservancy.
