#MAC. Do Latter Day Saints really believe that God turned the Indians skin red because theyRead More slaughtered the original native Americans?

We had some bible pimps in Sunnyvale.
MAC April 23, 2014 at 12:10 am
No, Alex. We believe God led (or inspired) various families, groups and individuals to come to HisRead More "Promised" or "chosen" land, reserved for a righteous people. The first family group thus described in the "Book of Mormon" as "led" by God, to what came to be known as the Americas, was the family of Lehi. Younger son Nephi and others were obedient to God's commands and blessed, while his brother Laman (and others) were lazy, jealous, disobedient and warred against the Nephites. God did not want the righteous Nephites to intermarry with the wicked Lamanites, so he cursed the latter with dark skin so that they would be visibly distinguished and separate.------------------------------------------- If you have more questions, please ask a Mormon friend, or invite Mormon missionaries in to answer them. Many FAQs are also on the website: www.mormon.org

Cesar Milan is a bully, he is not a certified dog trainer....pit bulls exceed most other breeds inRead More temperament tests. ANY breed of dog can bite given the right conditions. To link up with a site that hates a breed is very irresponsible of The Patch. People should learn how to treat, train and socialize all dogs. A pit bull is not a demon, they are a dog, they have lived in The White House, as the first decorated war dog hero for saving his unit, used as service dogs, Helen Keller's favorite seeing eye dog, owned by countless movie stars and many loving families, as therapy dogs and drug dogs for law enforcement. The pittie is was known as the nanny dog because of their good natures. They do not make good guard dogs, human aggression has been bred out of them that is why thugs try to use them to fight. Educate yourself on dogs, I'm sick of defending them to people who are easy to judge without any real knowledge....many of these sensational attacks are different breeds, many people wouldn't know a pit bull from many other breeds. Big head, oh must be a pit. Educate yourself these dogs die in shelters every day because of ignorance. Why is this even in the Lower Moreland Patch, this is not national news! Do yourself a favor and read about dogs and warning signs before spouting off. Most dogs will only bite as a last defense, it is their only defense, there are very few unsound dogs compared to bad owners and foolish people. A pit bull is simply a dog. A good family breed if you do your homework.
Mad as hell... April 22, 2014 at 11:28 pm
Savecritters...I appreciate your concern but like I said you may want to make sure your homeownersRead More insurance will cover that dog. When you're on the receiving end of a pit bull dog's attack it's hard to fathom the logic in owning one.
Savecritters....you lost the argument as soon as you wrote "...owned by countless movieRead More stars..." What the hell does that prove?

Carl, 2 masters means you cannot be promiscuous + be loyal to someone. So renunciation is the keyRead More if you wish to live a moral happy life. Now I must go, my husband says you wont grasp my philosophy + standards. I wish to leave with this: I wish you + all gay people respect + hope you all stop resenting us for siding with the bible. It's Not the sinner, we disagree with, its the sin. Farewell.

In my experience, the people who have the most to say against other people's shortcomings are peopleRead More who have not experienced many trials in their life. They've never had the opportunity to hope for the compassion they're so willing to withhold from others who need it.

And the Bible says.....take the log out of your own eye so that you can see well enough to take theRead More speck out of your brother's eye. It also says not to judge, or you will be judged; and the measure by which you judge will be measured to you. Since Christie Nicole believes in the judgment day....it's gonna suck to be you!

Hi Laura, I was searching thru the web and came across this. I would love to have this recipe forRead More pizza rustica. I have misplaced all my handed down recipes from my grandmother for holidays and i'm very upset! Would love to make this for easter, also if you have a recipe for the easter bread with the colored eggs and the one for the ricotta cake with the cake mix....thank you so much! Barbara
Laura Eng March 26, 2014 at 11:39 am
Barbara, My mom's recipe is "a little bit of this, a little bit of that" but the recipeRead More below is very close to hers. The only real differences are that she uses lard intead of butter in the crust and she does not add ricotta in her filling. As for the Easter bread and ricotta cake recipes, I don't have them, but I'm sure if you search the web, you'll find something. Here's the Pizza Rustica recipe, enjoy it!!! Pizza Rustica Recipe Time: 21/2 hours, plus time for cooling FOR THE DOUGH: 6 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 pound chilled salted butter, cut into large pieces 5 large eggs, beaten FOR THE FILLING: 12 ounces prosciutto, in 1/4-inch dice 8 ounces boiled ham, in 1/4-inch dice 8 ounces pepperoni, in 1/4-inch dice 8 ounces soppressata, in 1/4-inch dice 8 ounces mozzarella, in 1/4-inch dice 8 ounces provolone, in 1/4-inch dice 2 pounds ricotta 4 ounces grated pecorino Romano 10 large eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon pepper 1 large egg, beaten, for brushing crust. 1. For the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together 6 cups flour and the salt. Using a pastry cutter, large fork, or two knives, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add eggs and knead for 1 minute. Add about 1 1/4 cups ice water, a little at a time, to form a cohesive dough. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it forms a large smooth ball, about 5 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside for 30 minutes. 2. For the filling: Mix the meats, cheeses, the 10 eggs and pepper in a large bowl. 3. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Divide the dough into two pieces: two-thirds for the bottom crust and one-third for the top. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the larger portion of the dough into a rectangle to line the bottom and sides of a 10-by-15-inch glass baking dish, with some overhang. Add the filling and smooth it lightly. Moisten the edges of the dough with a little water. 4. Roll out the remaining dough to cover the top of the dish with some overhang. Trim off excess dough and crimp the edges to seal. Poke several sets of holes across the top with a fork. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush top and edges with the beaten egg, then return to the oven until golden brown, another 45 minutes. Let pie cool completely before serving. Yield: One 10-by-15-inch pie. — with Loria Bradley Toomey and 16 others. Photo: Pizza Rustica ♥ Recipe Time: 21/2 hours, plus time for cooling

Fake Boss Hogg. Kinda funny coming from a guy that picked "Almost Brilliant" as a handleRead More a week ago...
Notbricktrash April 22, 2014 at 01:04 pm
This guy is psycho I see all negative posts on this breed. Us all who are for the breed let's postRead More positive things. This guy has no life obviously to sit and pick apart a breed. My dad was a meter reader in the day he was attacked and bitten 9 times on different occasions. 2 of them were German sheps, rest were ankle biters. ALL dogs bite. My parents were ignorant with pit bulls I remember my neighbors bf had them in my yard when I was a kid and my moms screaming they are vicious get inside. (They were sweet dogs) that goes with them being uneducated about the breed. They witnessed my neighbors pit mauling the neighbors small dog (their dog was nice until the crack heads put him in a cage 24/7) they are like till recently they are dangerous blah blah blah and know what I educated them I now rescued a pit lab who is a big baby and whom my parents adore. I cross post animals all over and many are pit bulls. They say 1 of 600 finds homes. It's sad cause in my dad's years of meter reading not one pit bull attacked him. 2 days in a row I saw 2 pits running in and out of traffic on a main road by my house. Almost hit them. I got out of my car called them over (had no fear as if it were a smaller dog or a shep) they came to me I grabbed their collars and what did they do? They licked me. I'm in school to be an nj Animal control officer and an associates in vet tech and I can bet you in my life I will support the pit breed in some successful way. I will never hate the breed or judge them. I've got bitten by a smaller dog breed do I judge them? No. So educate before you discriminate

Anyone who has ever seen a new litter of puppies will notice that some in the litter are bold andRead More daring while others are shy and cautious. (Check out "Too Cute" on Animal Planet Saturdays) They haven't had a chance to learn anything yet, but their inherited personalities are already obvious. Dogs have been bred for specific purposes since they were first bred from wolves. Inbred personalities should be taken into consideration when training a new puppy. You'll find that it's a lot easier to train your border collie to herd your chickens than to break him/her of chasing them because it is an inbred drive/desire. Other breeds would ignore the birds entirely. Most pit bull owners know their dogs and train/treat them accordingly. Others don't provide the training and socialization needed. These are the people who sue the police when their dog gets shot while attacking an innocent victim. They can't believe that their dog was capable of hurting anyone, therefore the police must have shot the wrong dog. This situation has been in the news far too often to be coincidence. Owners must be responsible for knowing, training and controlling their dogs. I can't imagine the heartbreak of losing a treasured pet, then being hit with a lawsuit because they had so much faith in their pet's good behavior that they let them roam the neighborhood.
