Win a Dinner For Eight at Frankies

Sweet'N Low celebrates 55th Anniversary by hosting love-story contest.

The makers of America's iconic pink artificial-sweetener packets, Sweet'N Low, have whipped up another delicious idea.

To commemorate the 55th Anniversary of Cumberland Packing Company—producers of Sweet'N Low, as well as Sugar in the Raw and Stevia in the Raw—the Brooklyn Navy Yard-based outfit has decided to treat one lucky Brooklyn pair also celebrating a 5th anniversary to a night out at Frankies Spuntino with friends.

Couples who will have been married for 5, 15, 25... (you get the idea) years in 2012 are asked to submit their love story in 300 words or less with a photograph to:

Sweet Celebration
c/o Kellen Company
355 Lexington Ave, 15th Fl
New York, NY 10017

Anyone who doesn't live in the borough of Brooklyn can fuggedaboudit.

The lovebirds with the most syrupy-sweet tale will win dinner for the couple and up to six guests at Frankies Spuntino. Plus, a limo ride to and from the date. Deadline is February 24 and complete rules are available here. A winner will be chosen on February 29 and announced afterward.

Turns out, romance comes naturally to the Cumberland crew: The name Sweet'N Low itself came from an 1863 song by Sir Joseph Barnby, who derived the title and lyrics from an Alfred Lord Tennyson poem, entitled "The Princess: Sweet and Low." Put that in your coffee and drink it.
