Viewfinder: The Columbia Street Waterfront District Gardens

Shots and snaps from a rainy day by the water

The Columbia Street Waterfront District is a tiny neighborhood nestled between the BQE, the Battery Tunnel and the East River. But the amount of greenspace is incredible! In the just about 20 blocks that make up the South Brooklyn neighborhood, there are four community gardens, each one with their own flavor and quirk.

There will , too.

Take a tour of the Summit Garden on Summit and Columbia streets; the Backyard Gardens at Summit and Hamilton streets; the Amazing Garden at Carroll and Columbia streets and the Human Compass Garden at Sackett and Columbia streets.
