Ted & Honey To Open New Location This Spring

The popular Clinton Street cafe will gain a second location on Degraw.

the much-loved Cobble Hill cafe, will soon open a second location in the old home of on Degraw between Court and Clinton.

"We'd really reached the limit of what we could do with just this space," said owner Michelle Mannix, citing the Clinton Street cafe's popularity, as well as Ted & Honey's catering arm as catalysts for the expansion.

Don't get too excited, sandwich-lovers -- the new location won't be a full second outpost, but rather, a commercial kitchen and bakery that will serve as Ted & Honey's commisary. Everything will be baked on the premises and walked over to the Clinton Street cafe.

But don't worry either! Ted & Honey Degraw (our distinction, not theirs) will still be open to customers and will serve coffee, a full range of baked goods (including the addictive raisin and walnut studded morning glory muffins), quarts of soup and house-smoked bacon and roasted turkey by the pound.

"Eventually, we may start offering roast chicken and other prepared foods," hints Mannix.

Seating will be limited inside the bakery, but in warmer months plenty of outside tables will be available, as well as free Wi-Fi.

Mannix hopes that once Degraw houses the bulk of the food preparation, operations on Clinton will become more streamlined -- a boon for anyone who's ever showed up to find a line stretching out the door.

Ted & Honey Degraw is slated to open in March or April.
