New Bike Lanes, Culver Viaduct Update at CB6 Meeting Thursday

Find out what transit changes are coming to the Carroll Gardens area.

At Thursday's Community Board 6 - Transportation Committee Meeting, locals will receive information on two important transit updates to the neighborhood.

First the Department of Transportaion will present its proposal to install a new pair of bike lanes along the eastbound side of Union Street and the westbound side of Sackett Street between Van Brunt Street and 3rd Avenue.

The DOT is also suggesting bike corrals at 153 Columbia Street and 787 Union Street. Not all members of the Brooklyn community are fans of bike corrals. So if you have a strong opinion on this matter you may want to attend.

Another point of interest on the agenda will be an update from NYC Transit on the ongoing Culver Viaduct Rehabilitation project.

The meeting will take place at Good Shepherd Services Family Reception Center, 441 4th Avenue, on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.
