The General Manager at Blue Marble has stated in the comments of this story that, contrary to what police stated Monday night, "the Employee DID NOT make a post about the robbery on Facebook before calling the police. Our employees do not have the passwords to access our Facebook account."

Upon further inquiry, Blue Marble representatives explained the discrepency between the Facebook post and the 911 call, saying the page was updated by another employee.

"As soon as we received the call from the employee, an administrative employee instantly posted an announcement on Facebook to alert other businesses in the hopes people in the community might have witnessed something and come forward with information," General Manager Claudia Dishon told Patch. "This post has since been removed. It is possible that post predates the timing of the arrival of the police. The NYPD and the detectives were extremely supportive and we sincerely appreciate their help in this matter."
