Bourgeois Pig East Opening in December

The outpost of Manhattan's swanky cocktail and fondue bar will open on December 4, sources say.

, an outpost of Manhattan’s Bourgeois Pig will be moving into the former Calpurnia Wine Bar space, at 387 Court Street. Yesterday, Zagat got a tip-off on the opening date of the cocktail bar and fondue restaurant: December 4.

According to Zagat, head bartender Frank Cisneros let the date slip during a celebration for the launch of their winter cocktail list, and while owner Ravi de Rossi did not correct him, he officially said the opening was “at least three weeks” away.

Over the summer, Grubstreet reported that Bourgeois Pig East would feature a “brief, daily-changing menu with rotating offerings that might include a lobster bisque or a dark-chocolate-bacon-beer fondue.” There will be 40 seats inside, and 20 outside.
