A 36-year-old man was stabbed and killed at approximately 2:00am this morning at 423 Baltic Street (Gowanus Houses).
Police report, when they arrived at the scene, they observed the victim had been stabbed one time in the torso. He was transported to Long Island College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Notification of the victim's family is still pending. There were no arrests, but a woman was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE, 8/13/11, 7:00pm: The deceased has been identified as Jack Archin. A woman identified as Shelly Luciano has been arrested and charged with homicide and criminal possession of a weapon.
